Launching shared cloud management services for enterprise apps and virtualization across a state-wide university campus system

Multi-Campus Public University, a 17-campus public university system serving over 240,000 students and administering nearly $2B in research grants, struggled with inconsistent service delivery, rising public-cloud costs, and fragmented campus IT teams. To provide a single-pane-of-glass for multi-tenant operations, multi-cloud self-service, and integration with existing tools, the system evaluated vendors and selected Morpheus Data’s Morpheus platform to unify on-premises VMware and public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google) and support automation and disaster recovery workflows.

Morpheus Data implemented the Morpheus platform with codeless cloud integrations into VMware vSphere, public clouds, Ansible Tower, Zerto, NSX‑T and NetApp, reaching production readiness after two months and integrating 40% of the university infrastructure initially; eight of the largest university tenants are now fully using the system.
