IKEA partnered with Mood Media to manage and upgrade audio across more than 30 North American locations. Faced with complex, safety-sensitive Digital Audio System installs at its Merriam, KS and St. Louis, MO sites, IKEA needed a single trusted vendor to coordinate multiple stakeholders, meet strict safety and construction requirements, and deliver reliable Background Music and distributed audio solutions.

Mood Media’s Premier A/V Systems team assigned a dedicated Systems Account Executive to design and install digital sound systems, handle scope and wiring, liaise with building officials and construction teams, and document the work end-to-end. The installs (part of 65 advanced audio projects from 2014–2016) delivered clearer sound for customers and associates, new rack and wiring infrastructure that improved operational efficiency and serviceability, and cost-optimized deployments—giving IKEA confidence to replicate the Mood Media framework at other sites.
