bOLOCO, a fast-growing burrito chain known for customizable global-inspired bowls and burritos, struggled to scale a new catering program launched in 2011. Orders were handled with Microsoft Word and in-store staff were overwhelmed by a fully customizable catering menu, so in July 2011 bOLOCO partnered with MonkeySoft Solutions to implement a structured catering strategy using the MonkeyCatering™ platform and the MMS Catering Institute™ for guidance.

MonkeySoft Solutions delivered a three-phase solution—menu development to simplify offerings, operations integration (POS integration, PCI-compliant payments and a centralized call center powered by MonkeyCatering™), and data-driven sales & marketing. The results were measurable: catering sales grew 78% year‑over‑year to over $1M in 2013, the number of catering orders rose 57%, and average catering order value increased 13%, driven by the systems and processes implemented by MonkeySoft Solutions.
