How Our FinTech Startup Migrated to MongoDB’s Database-as-a-Service to Save Time and Money

aBorrow is a Thailand-based fintech startup that matches loan products to borrowers’ profiles. As the company grew it needed a trusted, secure and scalable production database but lacked in-house expertise for monitoring and managing AWS-based clusters; growing traffic (from about 100 to 400 daily applications) and strict finance-sector security requirements made a reliable cloud solution essential.

aBorrow migrated to MongoDB Atlas, a managed DBaaS on AWS (Singapore region), which took only a few hours to set up and provided built-in monitoring, backups, replication, encryption and an easy-to-use dashboard for scaling. The move eliminated much of the team’s operational overhead, handled the increased volume without downtime, improved visibility and security, and proved highly cost-effective — the startup reported minimal infrastructure costs while regaining time to focus on the business.
