Flex Consulting, a leading technology and services company, faced a challenge in improving search for its construction content platform. The platform helps contractors create estimates by searching through 800,000 diverse building components, but data from hundreds of manufacturers was hard to query. They needed a flexible database solution from vendor MongoDB to move from a relational system and deliver faster, more relevant search results.

MongoDB implemented MongoDB Atlas and MongoDB Search to solve this. Using Search Facets and a custom analyzer, they tailored the search to return highly relevant results.
