A MongoDB Case Study
Bpifrance, a French public investment bank supporting business innovation and competitiveness, needed to modernize its legacy information system. Its core banking processes operated on batch mode, and its services lacked the real-time capabilities required for modern risk analysis and customer interaction. To achieve its digital transformation, Bpifrance turned to vendor MongoDB, adopting their fully-managed MongoDB Atlas database service.
The solution implemented by MongoDB involved deploying MongoDB Atlas to support 35 applications across several clusters. Bpifrance combined MongoDB with the Confluent data streaming platform to enable real-time core banking calculations, moving from next-day batch processing to instant calculations of outstanding amounts and risk. Additionally, MongoDB Atlas improved their chatbot's relevance by providing contextual data and enabled 360-degree customer research and streamlined audit trails through data federation. As a result, Bpifrance successfully modernized its system, gaining real-time performance, more relevant customer interactions, and enhanced capabilities for risk analysis and reporting.
