Whistle Bear Golf Gets Detailed Accuracy to a Sport That Demands It

Whistle Bear Golf Course, a recreation facility in Cambridge, Ontario, struggled to reconcile credit and debit transactions and was juggling multiple payment providers, which made it difficult to match deposits to the correct days. To address this, the course engaged Moneris and its Merchant Direct service to improve transaction visibility and reporting.

Moneris supplied point-of-sale hardware to accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and debit, and implemented Merchant Direct, a web-based reporting tool that shows transaction timestamps and lets Whistle Bear download data into accounting software. As a result of Moneris’ solution, the course can accurately attribute revenue to the correct day, reconcile daily deposits even for after-hours sales, and cut monthly reconciliation from many hours to about one hour in total.
