a major retailer and supplier sought to scale the integration of farm-level emissions data across its broad portfolio of beef products. The challenge was to move from using inactionable secondary data to obtaining connected, traceable primary data to improve transparency and enable collaborative reduction efforts with its suppliers. To address this, they partnered with vendor Mondra and utilized their Net Zero solution.

Mondra implemented a process where suppliers were onboarded to submit farm-level carbon emission factors through a user-friendly wizard. This data was integrated into product digital twins to establish a new, dynamic emissions baseline. The results were significant: 140 products were enhanced with primary data, average data quality scores improved, and emission reductions were quantified. This provided the major retailer and supplier with a platform for informed target-setting and created a clear, scalable pathway to verified on-pack emissions claims.
