How Alachua County, FL is using monday.com to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis

Alachua County Fire Rescue’s emergency management team, led by Director Hal Grieb, is responsible for coordinating the county’s response to hazards for 256,380 residents and visitors, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The team’s previous emergency-management software was overly complex, required manual work, and wasn’t used for day-to-day routines, making it poor fit for fast-moving crises where quick, reliable coordination is essential.

Because other county departments already used monday.com, Hal adopted the platform and built a virtual Emergency Operations Center with workspaces, a centralized file library, live dashboards, an Operational Rhythm calendar with countdowns, and web forms that let field teams submit requests on the go. The result was rapid team adoption, streamlined resource requests and activity tracking, improved executive visibility into priorities, and a more efficient, connected COVID-19 response.
