University Finds Ungerboeck Software Expands as Their Needs Increase

Duke University in Durham, North Carolina needed a way to centralize event operations across conferences, meetings, special events, and performances while managing budgets, room bookings, registration, labor, invoicing, and accounting within a cost-recovery environment. Duke selected Momentus Technologies’ event and venue management software, then known as Ungerboeck, to replace scattered processes and support both campus groups and outside organizations.

Momentus Technologies implemented an integrated solution covering booking, registration, financials, reporting, and accounts receivable, with direct export to Duke’s university accounting system. The result was highly accurate financial tracking that matched the general ledger “to the penny,” plus added efficiencies such as about 100 online bookings per month, stronger self-service for users, better revenue capture, and the ability to extend the same platform to Duke’s marine lab without creating a separate business office.
