Temasek Polytechnic Innovates With Moments Lab Cloud Media Hub

Temasek Polytechnic, a higher learning institution in Singapore, needed a centralized and remote-friendly digital asset management (DAM) platform for its media archive. The school sought a simple, scalable solution to facilitate collaboration for its students and staff while also aiming to reduce the energy consumption of its on-premises storage systems. They partnered with vendor Moments Lab to address this challenge using their Cloud Media Hub.

The solution from Moments Lab involved migrating Temasek Polytechnic's extensive media archive to a secure, cloud-based hub accessible via a web browser. The platform uses AI for indexing metadata and allows for easy organization and semantic search of assets. Moments Lab provided a scalable system that supports remote collaborative work. The results included the ingestion of over 1,460 videos, 17,882 audio files, and 3,752 images, with plans to migrate an additional 48TB of media. The institution also achieved its sustainability goal by reducing energy consumption and emissions from its previous on-premises setup.
