BitMango, a global game publishing company, faced the challenge of achieving growth in both user volume and D7 ROAS for its long-standing title 'Word Cookies.' Sustaining a high return on ad spend while expanding its user base was difficult, as the pool of high-value paying users is limited. They needed a new strategy to identify and re-engage these high-value users beyond standard user acquisition campaigns, which led them to partner with vendor Moloco and utilize Moloco Ads.
Moloco implemented a retargeting campaign using its machine learning-powered Cloud DSP. The solution targeted inactive users to encourage in-app purchases, leveraging BitMango's first-party data with a custom CPA model for optimization. This approach resulted in BitMango achieving 150% of its target ROAS, increasing daily user volume by 3 times, and decreasing its cost per install by 2.5 times compared to previous user acquisition campaigns.
