How using the Mollie Terminal helps marinas in the West Frisian town of Medemblik simplify payments and improve effiency

Stadshavens Medemblik, a marina operator in the Dutch town of Medemblik, needed a faster way to manage reservations and payments across its five harbour locations. As visitor numbers and berth capacity grew, the team was handling more work with the same number of staff, while manual entry on stand-alone terminals made in-person payments prone to errors and day-end reconciliation time-consuming. They worked with Mollie and i-Marina to improve their payment processes, including the Mollie Terminal for in-person payments.

Mollie implemented the Mollie Terminal, integrated with i-Marina’s software, so transaction amounts are sent directly to the terminal and payments are processed automatically. This reduced errors, sped up checkout, and made closing the day much easier, while freeing harbour masters to spend more time helping guests. The switch also supported Stadshavens Medemblik’s sustainability goals by eliminating printed pin slips and helping the marina move toward being 80% paperless.
