A Molecular Devices Case Study
The University of Rouen Normandy needed to evaluate the biological activity of peptides by measuring intracellular calcium mobilization, requiring the ability to make several hundred measurements per day to suit their academic environment. They turned to vendor Molecular Devices for a solution.
Molecular Devices implemented the FlexStation 3 and SpectraMax iD3 readers. The FlexStation 3 enabled the analysis of a 96-well plate in under 30 minutes by measuring eight conditions simultaneously, a capacity unmatched by other devices. The university reported that the systems, controlled by the intuitive SoftMax Pro software, are robust and offer numerous configuration options, allowing students to use the iD3 reader independently and ensuring teaching staff are satisfied with the quality of measurements.
