A Molecular Devices Case Study
The customer, Université Catholique de Louvain, faced a research challenge requiring them to measure biofilm production and bacterial viability using both absorbance and fluorescence techniques. Their work, led by Wafi Siala, aimed to compare antibiotic activities against biofilms. To accomplish this, they needed a flexible microplate reading solution from vendor Molecular Devices.
Molecular Devices provided the solution with their SpectraMax M3 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader, which offered the required multi-mode measurement capabilities. This gave the research team greater flexibility, including a large choice of microplate sizes, and allowed them to successfully perform their dual-measurement assays for their critical biofilm research.
