ETAP-Lab equips new neurodegenerative research lab in January 2019 with Molecular Devices

ETAP-Lab, a Contract Research Organization (CRO) in France, needed to equip a new in vitro laboratory focused on neurodegenerative disease research. Their challenge was to find a flexible multi-mode microplate reader from a vendor like Molecular Devices that could perform a wide variety of assays, including fluorescence, luminescence, absorbance, and western blot detection, to efficiently serve their pharma and biotech clients.

The solution implemented was the SpectraMax i3x Multi-Mode Microplate Reader and SoftMax Pro Software from Molecular Devices. This provided the team with the flexibility to perform cell confluence, viability, and drug candidate screening assays. As a result, ETAP-Lab's new lab became fully operational and validated, enabling them to immediately begin producing studies for European companies, screening molecules for neuroprotective properties.
