ConnectUs worked with a major healthcare company that needed secure, single-purpose patient devices for at-home health surveys and symptom alerts. The project required devices that could be locked to specific apps, support both English and Spanish, stay within budget, and be deployed in less than a week, while also avoiding the cellular overages and compatibility issues caused by their older devices. To meet this need, ConnectUs turned to Moki and its mobile device management platform.
Moki enabled ConnectUs to lock devices to three approved apps, block hotspot use, cellular configuration changes, factory resets, and other unintended activity, while also allowing remote updates, device grouping, and QR-code-based resets between users. The result was a secure, user-friendly deployment process that simplified management and helped ConnectUs roll out 5,000 devices. Moki’s support also reportedly saved hundreds of hours during implementation and helped deliver a strong return on investment by preventing unnecessary network costs.
