Capital One, a financial services firm with more than 49,000 associates across a large, multi‑campus footprint, needed a unified mobile workplace to improve employee engagement, navigation, and access to real‑time services (shuttle tracking, indoor maps, dining, facilities reporting and corporate communications). The company also lacked the internal IT bandwidth to build and roll out an enterprise app quickly, yet required location‑specific information and fast, actionable communications for thousands of employees.

Using Modo Labs’ Workplace platform, Capital One rapidly launched a centrally managed but location‑aware mobile app with out‑of‑the‑box modules for maps, shuttle tracking, facilities tickets, parking, GSOC access, dining, directories and news—many editable by non‑technical business owners. Deployed in weeks, the app is widely used on major campuses, generated hundreds of facilities requests early on, simplified the workday, improved real‑time communication and can be easily expanded or customized without heavy IT involvement.
