Kansas State University needed a true mobile app to meet the needs of a smartphone‑first campus. Built on the Modo Campus platform, K‑State Mobile introduced special‑event modules—most notably Career Fairs (including a 360+ employer fair), Open House, and the Research Showcase—featuring employer lists, indoor maps, schedules, video and social feeds. The app drove higher student engagement than printed booklets, cut printing costs, empowered non‑technical staff to manage content, and earned strong satisfaction (80% of students rated it “useful” or “very useful”), while extending the university’s reach to industry and campus stakeholders.
