Lyft provides equitable benefits worldwide, increases engagement, and reduces costs by partnering with Modern Health

Lyft, a leading transportation platform focused on inclusive benefits, needed a new global mental health solution after finding its previous therapy-only offering excluded many employees and drove low engagement. In mid-2019 Lyft partnered with Modern Health to deliver a unified, global mental health benefit using Modern Health’s app and stepped-care model (therapy, evidence-based coaching, self-guided resources, and provider-led Circles).

Modern Health implemented a global, stepped-care platform plus high-touch engagement (custom launch materials, webinars, and activation programming) to broaden access, de-stigmatize care, and accelerate time-to-care. The Modern Health partnership cut costs by more than 55% year-over-year, lifted engagement from 14% to 45% (61% registered), produced a 77% improvement in WHO-5 scores, achieved 61% clinical improvement or recovery for members with elevated depression/anxiety, and earned an NPS of 76.
