Driving Transformational Change at the University of Calgary

The University of Calgary Division of Continuing Education turned to Modern Campus after a reorganization revealed inconsistent ways of working across staff and programs. Although they had used Modern Campus’ Destiny One student lifecycle management software for nearly a decade, leaders realized they needed to improve operational efficiency and make better use of the platform in a challenging economic environment.

Modern Campus delivered its Operational Health Check (OHC), combining a pre-assessment questionnaire, on-site working sessions, best-practice guidance, and a findings report with recommendations and action items. The engagement helped University of Calgary identify underused Destiny One functionality, reduce inconsistencies in data entry and processes, and improve staff collaboration; while no hard numbers were reported, the expected impact was better reporting, stronger decision-making, and more personalized customer service.
