ZAK – Safe, Ecological, Efficient MOBOTIX Cameras Ensure Safe Operations

ZAK – Zentrale Abfallwirtschaft Kaiserslautern, the waste management provider for the city and district of Kaiserslautern, Germany, needed to ensure the safety and efficiency of its large-scale operations. They required a robust video surveillance solution to monitor their 88-hectare facility, moving beyond their outdated analog system.

Mobotix implemented a comprehensive solution comprising 65 IP cameras, including M25 models for general surveillance and specialized M15D thermal cameras for fire prevention. This system allows for temperature monitoring of hazardous materials, replaces traditional vehicle rearview cameras, and controls site access via video door stations. The result is a significant enhancement in operational safety, allowing ZAK to automatically detect potential fires and prevent accidents. The Mobotix cameras have proven to be exceptionally robust, low-maintenance, and reliable despite the dirty environment.
