With Elettronica Cortesi, Security at RFI Stations (Italian Railways) Always Comes First

The customer, RFI stations Bologna (Italian Railways), required a robust video surveillance solution for the security of its station elevators and adjacent areas. They faced challenges with previous systems, including limited functionality, vulnerability to vandalism, and difficulties in integrating assistance and maintenance procedures. Elettronica Cortesi, a system integrator, chose MOBOTIX cameras for their advanced, integrated features to address these complex requirements.

Elettronica Cortesi implemented a MOBOTIX solution, installing 218 cameras (including Q25, D25, and M25 models) across 29 stations. The MOBOTIX system provided high-quality day/night imaging, integrated audio and analysis functions, and simplified installation via a single network cable. The results included a vastly improved security and incident response process, enabling a control room to manage all phases of an incident from rescue to maintenance. This led to enhanced passenger safety, prevention of vandalism, and more efficient operations for the railway customer.
