A Mobotix Case Study
The National Museum of Iceland needed to upgrade its outdated analogue surveillance to better secure its cultural artifacts. The museum also sought an integrated visitor counting system and aimed to avoid ongoing license fees. They chose a MOBOTIX solution for its proven durability, high-quality imaging, and dual functionality.
MOBOTIX implemented a decentralized camera system, including D12D, D14D, Q24, and M24 models, which handled both surveillance and visitor analytics. The solution provided high-resolution imaging with no license fees and used MxAnalytics software to create heatmaps. Installation was straightforward using CAT5 cables. The MOBOTIX system successfully secured the museum's treasured building and provided valuable data on visitor traffic.
