Savelberg uses domotics to provide elderly people with a wider range of movement

The Savelberg nursing home, part of Zorgpartners Midden-Holland, sought to provide residents affected by dementia with greater freedom of movement while ensuring their safety. To address this challenge, they partnered with vendor Mobotix and chose the Conview Care solution from Leertouwer, which utilized smart cameras and sensors.

The solution implemented by Mobotix and Leertouwer used high-resolution Q25 cameras as smart video and audio sensors to create three distinct living zones for wander detection. This removed physical barriers, allowing residents to move more freely. The results included a visibly happier atmosphere, residents thriving with their new independence, and staff able to intervene more effectively without unnecessary night rounds. The implementation was so successful that Savelberg plans to equip all its flats with the Mobotix-powered Conview Care system.
