Museum Of Oriental Art IP Video Surveillance For 500 Years Of History

The Museum of Oriental Art in Valladolid, a historic institution housing an invaluable collection, required a highly discreet and integrated security solution to protect its artifacts without being obtrusive. The museum's staff, consisting of Augustinian friars, also needed a system that was simple to use and maintain. They partnered with vendor MOBOTIX for an IP video surveillance system.

MOBOTIX implemented a solution using its D10 dome and M12 cameras, which were integrated with infrared technology, motion sensors, and audio. This provided comprehensive security across 18 rooms and monastery access points. The results included robust protection of the collection, significant time savings for staff who could monitor all areas remotely, and the added benefit of using the system's speakers for public announcements. The easy-to-use, low-maintenance MOBOTIX system met all the museum's specific needs effectively.
