MOBOTIX video entry phone system secures 84 luxury apartments at City Harbour London

Mobotix, a manufacturer of IP video systems, partnered with systems integrator NIMATA to address a security challenge for City Harbour London. The property management company, Parc Properties, needed to replace an obsolete and unreliable analogue video entry phone system for the 84-apartment development. Their key requirements were superior digital video quality, greater reliability, the ability for a porter to monitor access, and a future-proof solution that would provide value to leaseholders.

The implemented solution utilized Mobotix T24 video entry phone units at each building entrance, connected via a new IP network to video phones within each apartment. This provided high-resolution, color video and two-way communication with visitors. A key innovation was a custom SIP server that enabled communication between all apartments and the porter. The project also included the installation of optional high-speed internet for all residents. The results were high occupant satisfaction, significantly improved security and reliability, and a flexible system that is prepared for future upgrades. Due to its success, the property manager is considering rolling out the Mobotix-based system to other properties.
