MOBOTIX IoT Cameras Help Protect Swimmers from Drowning

SwimEye, a Norwegian company, developed a drowning detection system for swimming pools but needed a more reliable and higher-quality camera to serve as its core component. They partnered with vendor MOBOTIX to replace their existing camera with the small yet robust S15 model to improve detection capabilities and system stability.

The MOBOTIX solution provided a 50% smaller camera that was easily integrated into the underwater housing, along with a significant increase in image quality from 1 to 25 images per second. This upgrade allowed SwimEye to drastically reduce false alarms and create a more trustworthy system for lifeguards. The successful collaboration with MOBOTIX has contributed to SwimEye's growth, helping them expand into new international markets.
