MOBOTIX and LivingTECH Home Automation Applied to Social Work

LivingTECH aimed to overcome the perception of home automation as a luxury and implemented a solution for a quadriplegic individual to increase their independence and safety within their home. The vendor, MOBOTIX, provided its video technology and video door intercom to serve as the core of this integrated system.

The solution implemented by MOBOTIX consisted of a network of 360-degree cameras and an IP video door station, all managed through a custom application on a mobile device. This granted the user control over more than fifty home functions, provided real-time video monitoring for caregivers, and enabled secure interaction with visitors. MOBOTIX technology eliminated architectural barriers, resulting in a significant improvement in the user's quality of life and providing constant, systematic security monitoring for the disabled person and peace of mind for her family.
