Iceland Post, with a history dating back to 1776, faced the challenge of securely managing a high volume of daily deliveries across its extensive network. The company needed a surveillance solution to secure packages at its service desks, goods shelves, and working areas, freeing up valuable employee resources. Partnering with vendor Mobotix, they implemented a security system centered on hemispheric cameras.

The Mobotix solution used a single hemispheric camera to provide a 360-degree view of large areas, minimizing the number of units and complex wiring needed. This gave employees constant visibility of parcels from entry to exit, allowing them to locate incorrectly delivered items more efficiently. Iceland Post was so satisfied that they expanded the system with additional Mobotix products, including an I/O box and MxControlCenter software, and plan to install more cameras in the future.
