Five Star Luxury Welcomes Modern Video Technology

The Torridon Hotel, a luxury hotel in Scotland, was struggling with an outdated, unreliable analogue CCTV system that offered poor image quality and incurred ongoing software licensing fees. The challenge was to install a modern, high-resolution security system that was both highly effective and discreet enough to preserve the tranquil atmosphere of the historic property for its guests. They engaged the vendor Mobotix for a solution.

The solution implemented by Mobotix, deployed by certified partner Ness Tec, involved a decentralized system of 20 high-definition cameras, including thermal imaging models. This system utilized Power-over-Ethernet for simplified installation, hemispheric technology for greater coverage with fewer devices, and onboard camera storage for added reliability. The Mobotix MxManagementCenter software required no additional fees. The result is an extremely reliable, high-quality video security system that discreetly protects the hotel's guests, staff, and property.
