Royal Loyal, a mobile app created by Babir Sultan to help his independent convenience stores compete with national chains, needed a stronger way to drive repeat business and boost in-store sales. Since most revenue came from inside-store purchases rather than gas, the team turned to Moblico and its mobile marketing platform to better target shoppers with offers on higher-margin items.

Moblico enhanced the Royal Loyal app with geosensing, text marketing, Facebook sign-in, and iBeacon-enabled on-the-spot coupons that could trigger deals as customers browsed specific products. The result was 4,000 organic downloads, 1,100 users, and 25% of users classified as highly active, while the platform was also expanded to reach 12,000 independent retailers nationwide.
