Micro-Lam, a manufacturing company focused on hybrid laser-diamond cutting tools, needed a software solution to help operators align the laser beam with high precision and monitor power levels during cutting. To meet this challenge, Mobinius developed an image recognition and data acquisition solution tailored for laser beam alignment, arc detection, and power monitoring, using webcam video and sensor integration.

Mobinius implemented a graphical panel for accurate laser beam positioning and detection, integrated transducers for automatic laser power reading, and added a webcam video display along with a power meter for monitoring beam strength and alignment. The solution improved the laser-beamed diamond cutting process, enabling Micro-Lam to handle brittle materials more efficiently and cut with higher precision.
