Case Study: Human Rights Campaign doubles national footprint and hosts 1,000+ events with Mobilize

A Mobilize Case Study

Preview of the Human Rights Campaign Case Study

How the Human Rights Campaign doubled their national footprint and hosted over 1,000 events

The Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest LGBTQ civil rights organization with more than 3 million members, needed a better way to coordinate national and state affiliate events. Before working with Mobilize, HRC relied on NGP VAN plus spreadsheets, paper signups, and inconsistent local branding and volunteer experiences, and struggled to drive supporters from hrc.org to relevant local events.

HRC adopted Mobilize’s volunteer-organizing platform to provide consistent branding, automated confirmations, cross-promotion and distributed organizing dashboards. With Mobilize, HRC doubled its national footprint, hosted over 1,000 events (including 44 watch parties in October 2019), scheduled 4,031 shifts in 2018 from 2,446 unique volunteers, saw 50% of registrants confirm and 90% of confirmed attendees show up, and reached an estimated 166,000 people through door-knocking, calls and texts—while significantly reducing staff hours through automation and Mobilize’s Success team support.
