How Mobilize hosted Biden's National Day of Service

The Presidential Inaugural Committee, charged with organizing President‑Elect Joe Biden’s National Day of Service, needed a centralized, scalable way to recruit and coordinate volunteers nationwide after prior inaugurations required time‑consuming local outreach and manual tracking. To streamline recruitment and event management for hundreds of partners and volunteer leaders, the Committee turned to Mobilize’s volunteer event platform.

Mobilize provided centralized event creation, promotion, automated re‑engagement, and referral tools that let volunteer leaders self‑host local projects and partner organizations amplify events. The impact: more than 73,300 volunteers filled over 143,000 shifts, with 41.5% of shifts (nearly 60,000 signups) coming from the Mobilize network; promotions drove 11% of signups (15.2k shifts), automated suggestions 21%, and bring‑a‑friend prompts nearly 9%. Mobilize also supported 2,965 volunteer hosts, 2,645 hosted events and 300+ partner organizations, while enabling a largely virtual response (57% virtual), greatly reducing manual work and boosting reach.
