How the Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce used a mobile app to revamp its member experience

The Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce, a long-standing chamber supporting more than 700 members in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, needed a better mobile engagement tool after becoming dissatisfied with its previous app provider. It wanted a more fluid user experience, stronger push notifications, better event and announcement access, easier member networking, and a way to promote sponsor hot deals. The chamber partnered with MobileUp to replace its existing app with a more flexible, branded chamber mobile app.

MobileUp delivered a custom native app in about 60 days, supported rollout with marketing tools and staff training, and provided ongoing updates through its admin console and analytics dashboard. The app quickly saw strong download rates and increased usage of hot deals, events, member resources, and networking features, despite launching at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce praised MobileUp for responsive support and easy management, and planned to expand promotion of the app as a key member engagement channel.
