MGM Grand, a landmark Las Vegas destination hotel, faced the challenge of attracting new visitors and deepening relationships with a changing tourist mix while avoiding irrelevant outreach. To modernize its guest engagement, MGM Grand partnered with mobileStorm to add SMS marketing and the Mobile Concierge service to its marketing mix, using pre-arrival emails and mobile messaging to drive signups and on-property engagement.

mobileStorm implemented targeted campaigns—pre-arrival emails offering a $25 entertainment credit to join Mobile Concierge, opt-in SMS alerts during stays, and short-code signups from billboard-truck promotions—to deliver timely, relevant offers. The program let MGM Grand track VIP signups, event attendance and party size, grow a rich customer database, and deliver more relevant messaging; according to MGM, mobileStorm’s solution improved targeting, saved contact and demographic data, and helped drive repeat visits.
