State of Indiana puts constituents first with MobileIron solutions

The Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) supports 30,000 government end users across a state of about 6.57 million residents with a lean 315-person staff. As mobile usage doubled and the state moved away from BlackBerry, IOT faced growing demands to secure devices, enforce HIPAA compliance, and manage a mixed fleet of iOS and Android devices without adding significant overhead.

Working with AT&T, IOT deployed MobileIron VSP to centrally manage devices, push mass security policies, locate/wipe lost phones, and run an internal app store (Apps@Work) for custom tools like DamageWise. The solution improved data security and auditability, boosted field productivity, enabled a cost-saving BYOD approach, and let the small IOT team efficiently support thousands of mobile users.
