A MobileIron Case Study
Land Securities, a FTSE 100 REIT managing major shopping centres, retail parks and office space, faced rising printing costs and lack of visibility and control as staff began using iPads and iPhones alongside corporate BlackBerrys. The company needed a secure, manageable enterprise mobility solution to ensure up-to-date portfolio information, enable corporate email and network access on consumer devices, and enforce strong security and reporting across all mobile devices.
Land Securities selected MobileIron with partner QoLcom after defining strict requirements for reporting, encryption, Active Directory integration, network access control, remote wipe and self‑service enrollment. A successful pilot in November 2010 led to a phased rollout (targeted completion Q3 2011); the result was reduced printing and logistics, a lightweight and collaborative sales tool, unified device management for iOS and BlackBerry, seamless user experience for personal and work data, and strong security controls with responsive partner support.
