KLA-Tencor, a semiconductor company, needed a fast way to distribute WiFi-enabled iPads to 5,400 employees worldwide after a record sales milestone. The challenge was making the rollout simple and supportable while staying true to its mobile-device management approach, and KLA-Tencor worked with MobileIron on the project.

MobileIron provided mobile-platform management that automated over-the-air self-provisioning, allowing employees to set up and connect their iPads to the company network with minimal help. The deployment was completed in two and a half weeks, generated fewer than 10 helpdesk calls, and 97% of surveyed employees reported a great setup experience.
