Center for Young Professionals in Banking Takes Learning Mobile First

The Swiss Center for Young Professionals in Banking (CYP) set out to modernize its vocational training by replacing paper workbooks with a mobile-first learning environment. The challenge was to deliver and secure time‑sensitive course materials via the CYPnet cloud to 1,200 trainees on Android tablets, ensure always-on connectivity, manage app access across many devices, and protect sensitive personal and training data.

Working with Swisscom and MobileIron, CYP rolled out 1,200 Samsung Galaxy tablets with 3G SIMs, the MyCYP app and the CYPnet cloud; MobileIron provides granular policy controls, app distribution and remote wipe capability. The result: paper was eliminated, students gain real-time, anywhere access to course content and market data, digital and media skills have been embedded into courses, and CYP achieved scalable, secure device management — delivered at roughly €1.3M for platform and content development plus about €0.2M in annual operating costs.
