Youngstown State University modernizes device management for nearly 13,000 users with Mobile Mentor

Youngstown State University (YSU) wanted to maximize its investment in Microsoft A3 licenses by implementing modern device management with Microsoft Intune. The challenge, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, was to remotely provision and manage devices for staff, faculty, and students without physical contact, while also improving security. To address this, YSU partnered with the vendor Mobile Mentor.

Mobile Mentor implemented its Intune for Windows package, configuring YSU's tenant and integrating it with Windows Autopilot. This allowed new devices to be shipped directly to users, who could then self-provision them over the air. The solution eliminated the need for manual imaging and reduced provisioning time. As a result, YSU's IT team is now empowered to securely manage configurations and applications remotely, fully leveraging their Microsoft A3 licenses.
