Michigan Medicine streamlines management of 44,000 devices with Mobile Mentor

Michigan Medicine, the academic medical center of the University of Michigan, faced significant challenges managing its diverse and large-scale environment of over 40,000 Windows and mobile devices. Their existing system was limited, especially for non-Windows hardware, and they needed a modern, future-proof solution to streamline device management and enhance security. They partnered with Mobile Mentor to implement a new strategy using Microsoft Intune.

Mobile Mentor worked closely with Michigan Medicine's team to design and build a new Intune-based management system. The solution included streamlining device provisioning with Autopilot, automating application deployment, and consolidating management for both Windows and mobile devices into a single platform. As a result, build times for new machines were reduced from hours or days to minutes, and the institution now centrally manages compliance for its vast device fleet, including 17,000 migrated mobile phones.
