A Mobile Heartbeat Case Study
Eisenhower Health, a Rancho Mirage teaching hospital and comprehensive health system, was struggling with unreliable landlines, an overwhelming nurse‑call system and slow, fragmented communication that drove long response times, staff frustration and operational costs. After evaluating options, Eisenhower Health partnered with Mobile Heartbeat and piloted the MH‑CURE® platform to modernize clinical communication and collaboration.
Mobile Heartbeat deployed MH‑CURE on hospital‑owned iPhones to consolidate voice, secure messaging, nurse‑call alerts and integrations (lab, telemetry, schedules) into a single app and used performance data to redesign workflows. As a result, response times dropped from a four‑minute escalation cycle to under a minute (bed‑exit voice response 8s; routine requests 31s), patient falls fell to 2.3 per 16,506 patient days, patient satisfaction rose from 86% to 93%, and average length of stay for older patients declined to 3.8 days—delivering clear clinical and operational gains.
