A M*Modal Case Study

Preview of the West Tennessee Healthcare Case Study

West Tennessee Healthcare - Customer Case Study

West Tennessee Healthcare, a public not-for-profit health system in West Tennessee, struggled after going live with Cerner Millennium PowerNote because physicians who were not comfortable typing were slowing electronic note creation and causing coding delays. To address this challenge, the organization worked with M*Modal and its Fluency Direct solution, along with Fluency for Transcription, to help clinicians document more efficiently.

With M*Modal Fluency Direct, physicians could use speech-driven templates and complete notes more quickly and accurately, improving satisfaction and reducing the need to type. The rollout was rapidly adopted, with all initial licenses filled and more than 30 physicians logging at least 100 minutes each within the first three months; transcription volume fell by about 4,000 minutes per month on average, a 7% reduction over the first seven months. West Tennessee Healthcare also reported better documentation detail, faster completion, and improved support for ICD-10 coding accuracy.
