Viper, a known brand in the automotive security and remote start space, faced a challenge as competitors rapidly copied the innovative features of their connected car app, leaving their product technically and aesthetically dated. They tapped vendor MJD Interactive to revamp their mobile application, Viper SmartStart 4.0, to help them regain their industry-leading position.

MJD Interactive completely redesigned and rebuilt the app from the ground up for iOS and Android, including wearables. The solution featured a modern, gesture-based UI with core functions front and center, a customizable drawer for additional features, and advanced geo-features like SmartPark and SmartFences. The results were highly successful, with the app achieving over 3,000,000 downloads and winning awards including the 2016 CES Wearable Production Innovation Award.
