Praxair, a global industrial gases company operating a 440-vehicle fleet in Germany, faced the challenge of achieving zero accidents and improving driver behaviour for hazardous loads. To address this, Praxair deployed MiX Telematics’ fleet management solution (FM Communicator, RIBAS Display and FM‑Web) via national distributor Kienzle to monitor compliance and provide immediate notifications and audit trails for safety events.

MiX Telematics’ system captured on‑board data, sent real‑time email alerts to dispatchers, and gave drivers instant RIBAS eco‑driving feedback so trainers could coach proactively. With 210 RIBAS units installed (350 more expected) and a wider European rollout planned, the MiX Telematics deployment has delivered lower incident rates and rollovers, improved driver scores and compliance, and reductions in fuel costs.
