MiX Telematics helps UK bed retailer, Dreams, rest easy

Dreams, the UK’s leading specialist bed retailer with around 293 vehicles in its fleet, needed a reliable track-and-trace solution and a way to manage driver behaviour that would align with its existing driver engagement programme. They selected MiX Telematics and subscribed to MiX Fleet Manager, MiX DriveMate, RIBAS and trailer tracking to cover vans, heavy goods vehicles and trailers across the business.

MiX Telematics implemented the telematics, trailer trackers and driver workshops beginning in 2016, introduced RAG driver scoring focused on harsh acceleration, harsh braking and excessive idling, and integrated the data into Dreams’ reward schemes. Within six months behaviour improved, and over two years average driver scores rose from 81.70 to 96.46, delivering better safety, fewer incidents, easier dispute of unfair fines and reduced trailer-theft risk.
