Lucien Kunegal (LK) Group, a 350-bus and coach operator based in the Alsace region of France, needed to reduce rising fuel costs and meet its commitment to the French CO2 charter while improving passenger comfort and safety through smoother driving. To address these challenges the company engaged MiX Telematics, deploying the FM Communicator, RIBAS device, FM‑Web and MiX Insight Reports (installed via channel partner SiRAC).

MiX Telematics implemented a proof-of-concept and rolled out its fleet-management solution, using MiX Insight Reports for trainer-led analysis and RIBAS displays for real-time driver coaching combined with 2–4 hours of eco-driving training. The program delivered objective driver data, reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, improved safety and passenger comfort, and achieved roughly €28,000 per year in savings during the first phase for the Schmitt (Eurotours) 40‑vehicle unit.
