ETS Distribution Limited, a Loughborough-based distribution provider with a 24-vehicle fleet, needed a fleet management system to maximise vehicle utilisation and give customers up-to-the-minute information on loads and delivery times. They selected MiX Telematics' Fleet Manager solution for vehicle tracking and driver/vehicle performance monitoring.

MiX Telematics implemented Fleet Manager (including FM Communicator and FM Web) and ETS combined the system with targeted driver training—piloting six vehicles before rolling it out to all 24. The programme delivered a 10.3% increase in fuel efficiency, reduced carbon footprint and wear-and-tear, continuous visibility of driver and vehicle movements, and lower insurance premiums.
